RESTORATION THROUGH CHRIST’S B IRTH
Understanding the restoration dimensions of the birth of our Saviour
The birth of Christ came as corrective measure for the fall of man Christmas is restoration, repair and correction
WHAT WAS RESTORED THROUGH CHRIST’S BIRTH?
1. THE RESTORATION OF DIVINE PRESENCE TO MAN (Matt. 1:20-23)
The greatest asset of any man is the Presence of God
It doesn’t matter what you have, if you don’t have God you don’t have anything
The only thing that can make a man constantly relevant in life is the Presence of God
One of the greatest losses of man, when man sinned in the beginning, was the Presence of God (Gen. 3:23-24)
OUTCOME OF THE LOSS OF GOD’S PRESENCE:
1 a. A life of emptiness and vanity (Eccl. 1:2)
There is a God-sized vacuum in the heart of man that nothing but God can fill
1b. A life of experimentation with diverse objects of worship (Judg. 2:12)
1c. A life of pressure, stress and distress (Ps. 16:11; Ex. 33:14)
When the Presence of God is not with a man, what he is left with is stress
When the Presence of God is with you, you experience peace that passes all understanding
2. THE RESTORATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MAN AND GOD (Gen. 3:8; John 14:6; 2Cor. 5:18-19)
After the fall of man, there was relationship breakdown
OUTCOME OF LOSING RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD:
2 a. A life of isolation, rejection and loneliness a quality relationship with god is curative of rejection
2 b. a life disconnected from God’s voice of guidance, direction or communion
a quality relationship with God is curative of rejection direction averts destruction, assists acceleration and makes for distinction
2c. a life devoid of the influence and touch of God. companionship and being surrounded by the right association assists development
when a man’s life is out of touch and influence with god, he is left with the natural – with only what human energy and ability can do
3. THE RESTORATION OF THE AUTHORITY AND DOMINION OF MAN (Gen. 1:28; Ps. 8:-6; Rom. 6:16; 2 Pet. 2:19b; Eph. 1:17-23; 2:6)
Scriptures make it clear that God made man to be in dominion (Gen. 1:28)
When man fell, what man was meant to dominate began to dominate man; what man was meant to control began to control him
Christ is the head and is over principalities and powers; therefore as the Body of Christ, we are also over principalities and powers
OUTCOME OF THE LOSS OF AUTHORITY AND DOMINION:
3 a. a life of defeat devoid of triumph and victory (Gen. 3:17-19)
3 b. A life of afflictions and infirmities
3 c. A life of captivity and servitude
4. THE RESTORATION OF THE DIGNITY AND DESTINY OF MAN (Ps. 8:3-5; Col. 1:27; Rom. 8:30)
OUTCOME OF THE LOSS OF DIGNITY AND DESTINY:
4 a. A life of sweating and struggling for survival (gen. 3:17-19)
4 b. A life of shame and indignity (Gen. 3:7-13)
4 c. A life of uncertainty and unreliability (Gen. 3:23)
WHAT TO DO TO EXPERIENCE THE RESTORATION OF CHRIST’S BIRTH:
1. Accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Rom. 10:9)
2. Live by the principles and the standards of the Word of God (John 1:1-5)
When you live by the principles of the Word of God, you begin to experience the purpose and the Person of Christ because He is the Word, You cannot live contrary to the Word and experience why the Christ was born
3. Understand your inheritance in God through the Word of God (Acts 20:32)
What you don’t know is yours can never be yours (Deut. 29:29)
What you do not comprehend, you do not apprehend
Knowledge equals new edge
4. Place a demand on your inheritance in Christ through faith (Heb. 6:12; Rev. 5:12)
In the realm of faith, you don’t wait for things to come to you, you go for it!
PRAYERS
Father, thank You for Your Word to us today. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, thank You for the gift of Emmanuel – God with us; I cannot be a victim of a disconnect from Your Presence in Jesus’ Name
Father, thank You for the restoration that the birth of Your Son Jesus has brought to my life. Jesus, I welcome you to take Your place of Lordship and ruler ship in my life. I receive the grace to live by the standards of Your Word. Give me the grace and open my eyes to understand my inheritance through Your Word, help me Lord to receive by faith my inheritance in Your Word, in Jesus’ Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– Every area of your life where something is missing or wanting, I prophesy restoration!
– The Presence of God and everything that accompanies it shall be your portion in this season
– This Christmas season, your hands shall not be empty; it is your restoration season!
– Under 24hours, the God you and I serve will take you by surprise
– The answers to the questions of your heart are in your hands!
